In the context of strengthening academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Haider Ali Al-Dulaimi, Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired the PhD thesis defense committee at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul. The thesis was titled:
Measuring and Analyzing the Impact of Debt on the Economic Performance of Selected Countries with Reference to Iraq.
The thesis provided an in-depth analytical study of the relationship between public debt and economic performance indicators, with a focus on the Iraqi economy amid current financial and economic challenges. The study aimed to offer scientific insights to support decision-makers toward more efficient public debt management.
Recommendations:
1. The necessity of adopting prudent fiscal policies that balance public expenditure financing and reduce excessive reliance on borrowing, contributing to improved economic performance indicators.
2. Enhancing the role of scientific research and economic studies in formulating public policies related to public debt management and forecasting its future implications.
On the sidelines of the defense session, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi presented the Al-Mustaqbal University shield to Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, on the occasion of his assumption of the deanship. This was in recognition of his academic efforts and to support the scientific cooperation between the two universities. Dr. Al-Dulaimi also conveyed the greetings of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, to Dr. Sinan Zuhair, wishing him success in his new role.
