As part of its efforts to empower women and enhance their social participation, the College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop titled "The Role of Iraqi Women in Parliamentary Elections: Active Participation and Achievements", presented by Dr. Thanaa Bahaaddin Abdullah.

The workshop shed light on the progress made by Iraqi women in political life, particularly in their participation in parliamentary elections. It addressed the challenges they have faced and the accomplishments they have achieved in representing women’s voices within the parliament.

The session also emphasized the importance of utilizing the women's quota system effectively, improving political performance through awareness, training, and encouraging women to engage in electoral processes. The presentation highlighted successful examples of Iraqi female leadership and the pivotal role women can play in promoting democratic values and gender equality.

This workshop is part of a series of events aimed at reinforcing the principles of gender equality, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals — particularly Goal 5.
