Honoring Excellence at the College of Law for Achieving First Place in Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals According to Times Higher Education Ranking

On the morning of Tuesday, July 8, 2025, a ceremony was held to honor the distinguished members of the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University. This event marked the college's achievement of first place among public and private universities in Iraq in fulfilling the requirements of Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals, according to the report issued by the Times Higher Education international rankings.

The event was attended by several heads of departments and units from the esteemed university presidency, as well as a number of directors of governmental departments, representatives of unions, and supporting entities who played a prominent role in achieving this outstanding academic accomplishment.

In his speech during the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Dean of the College of Law at our university, emphasized that the celebration is a tribute to the faculty and staff whose dedicated efforts led to this pioneering achievement. He noted that this accomplishment represents another milestone in a series of ongoing successes achieved by Al-Mustaqbal University in general, and the College of Law in particular.

At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation and honorary shields were distributed to the honorees amid an atmosphere of pride and gratitude. The ceremony closed with prayers for continued success in serving our beloved Iraq and advancing the academic and research standards of our educational institutions.
