Professor Dr. Akram Faraj Al-Rubaie, Head of the Media Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated as a member of the defense committee for a master’s thesis at the Al-Alamein Institute for Graduate Studies on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The thesis was titled “Digital Competency in Journalistic Institutions,” and the researcher discussed the use of digital tools and technologies in media work environments, as well as the level of competence among media professionals in utilizing these tools within their professional practices.
During the discussion, Dr. Al-Rubaie praised the researcher’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of the topic amid the rapid digital transformations occurring in the media landscape. He also stressed the need to enhance digital competencies among journalists to keep pace with these changes and to ensure high-quality media performance.
