As part of its relentless efforts to consolidate the concepts of environmental sustainability and strengthen its position as a leading academic institution in achieving sustainable development goals, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed the field monitoring committee for the "Sustainable University" competition, organized by the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Environment.
The visiting delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Scientific Assistant, and Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, along with a number of directors of scientific and administrative departments and centers at the university.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi gave a detailed presentation on the most prominent initiatives launched by the university in the field of sustainability, reviewing its outstanding results at the local and international levels, particularly the remarkable progress achieved by the university in the 2025 Times Higher Education World Sustainability Rankings.
The visit aimed to review the environmental and development projects included in the competition's participation form and the practical initiatives that have been implemented on campus.
The field tour included a number of sites and projects that reflect the university's commitment to environmental standards and their sustainable applications.
It's worth noting that the committee hosted by the university included members from the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Environment, headed by the Director of the Entrepreneurial Project Management Department in the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The committee members expressed their admiration for the qualitative achievements and effective projects they witnessed, praising the university's serious efforts and positive response to the competition's requirements.
