Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University, visited the Energy Research Center accompanied by a distinguished group of the college’s professors. The visit came as part of a scientific collaboration aimed at strengthening research and practical integration between the engineering departments and the center.
During the visit, the Dean reviewed a number of completed student projects from the engineering departments, which were distinguished by being environmentally friendly and relying on renewable energy sources such as solar and thermal energy. He praised the students’ innovative ideas that contribute to supporting the university’s vision toward clean energy and sustainability.
Dr. Abd emphasized that these projects are aligned with the Sustinable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to clean energy, innovation, and climate action, noting the college’s commitment to encouraging applied scientific research and employing modern technologies to address environmental challenges in Iraq.
The visit concluded with an affirmation of the continued cooperation between the college and the center to support students’ pioneering projects and develop smart solutions in the fields of energy and sustainability, enhancing Al-Mustaqbal University’s position as a leading institution in scientific research and modern technologies.
This activity comes within the university’s efforts to achieve SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
