On Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, the College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Latest Updates in Academic Promotion for the College of Dentistry Staff”, chaired by Prof. Dr. Saad Hassan Mohammed Ali, Head of the Subcommittee for Academic Promotions, with the participation of Dr. Ali Salman and Dr. Alia Kazem, and attended by Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, Dean of the College of Dentistry, along with members of the teaching staff.
The workshop aimed to clarify the latest regulations and updates related to academic promotions, as well as to explain the procedures and evaluation standards, contributing to enhancing research quality and encouraging academic innovation. During the workshop, Dr. Mohammed Fares was congratulated on earning the academic title of “Lecturer,” and the committee also followed up on the processes of granting scientific titles to other staff members.
In her speech, Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi emphasized the importance of academic promotions in fostering innovation and academic development, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, through enhancing faculty competence and improving the quality of higher education and scientific research.
This workshop reflects the College of Dentistry’s ongoing commitment to continuous development and building an academic environment that promotes excellence, creativity, and sustainability in education.
