Dr. Ali Jasim Mohammed Al-Saadi, a lecturer at the College of Law – Al-Mustaqbal University and Head of the Human Rights Division at the university, participated in the training workshop organized by the Iraqi High Commission for Human Rights in Babil Governorate on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The workshop brought together heads of human rights divisions and units from ministries and public and private universities in the governorate. It addressed various topics related to mechanisms for combating drug abuse, raising awareness of human rights in this context, and the role of academic and governmental institutions in tackling this issue.

Dr. Al-Saadi contributed to enriching the discussions through his scientific observations and interactive interventions, focusing on strengthening cooperation between universities and relevant authorities to promote awareness, develop prevention and treatment programs, and support state and societal efforts to reduce drug spread and protect human rights.

This participation reflects the College of Law – Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to its societal role and its dedication to enhancing partnerships and coordination with national institutions concerned with human rights, in support of the university’s academic and humanitarian mission in serving the community.
