Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized an awareness seminar entitled “Together to Achieve the Eradication of Poverty and Hunger: A Step Towards Sustainable Development”, on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the college hall.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ali Hamza Namroud, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at the College of Law, who addressed several topics related to the importance of joint efforts to eradicate poverty and hunger, and the role of educational institutions in supporting national initiatives for comprehensive development. He emphasized that raising awareness of these issues contributes to building a cohesive society capable of facing challenges and achieving social justice.

This seminar comes within the framework of the College of Law’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), by promoting awareness and reinforcing a culture of collective action for a better future.
