The President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, visited 6th of October University of Technology in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the head of a delegation that included Professor Dr. Munther Fadel Hassan, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Dr. Walaa Al-Falluji, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Professor Abdul-Ridha Shaker Magdy, Director of Diwan Affairs.
The visiting delegation was received by the President of 6th of October University for Technology, Prof. Dr. Heba Farouk Salem, who stressed the depth of the historical relations between Egypt and Iraq, pointing out the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two brotherly countries, especially in the educational, research and training fields, and supporting the partnership between Egyptian and Iraqi universities, explaining that this cooperation comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Ayman Ashour, on the necessity of achieving partnerships with international universities with a distinguished global position to benefit from their expertise in providing high-quality study programs that ensure a distinguished international level of education and qualify graduates to obtain internationally and locally recognized certificates. For his part, the President of the Future University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, explained that the visit comes within the framework of enhancing international academic cooperation between the two universities, pointing out that this cooperation will contribute significantly to achieving the common goals of developing higher education at a global level and building bridges of mutual understanding and academic relations that benefit the academic community in both countries, stressing the possibility of opening up horizons of cooperation in a number of areas of common interest, especially with the presence of similar colleges and departments in both universities through joint scientific research, exchange of professors, capacity building, holding scientific conferences and workshops, and exchanging experiences and successful experiments.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi presented an overview of the Future University, discussing its formations and scientific and academic achievements in the field of scientific research, global classifications, and initiatives adopted by the university. He also referred to the important international partnerships achieved by the al mustaqbal University, whether with universities and academic institutions or with international organizations and unions related to the higher education sector. He also reviewed the possible areas of cooperation according to the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the President of October 6 University for Technology, Prof. Dr. Heba Farouk Salem, accompanied the President of the Future University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and the accompanying delegation on a field tour to view the infrastructure of classrooms, laboratories, and training workshops within the university campus, in addition to reviewing the academic programs offered by the university. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy expressed his happiness to visit October 6 University for Technology, praising its scientific and research capabilities, which distinguish it in the fields of technology and industries based on it.
