A scientific training workshop entitled “Measuring Vital Signs” was held for second-year students as part of the practical activities included in the academic curriculum.
The workshop aimed to train students in the basic skills of measuring vital signs, which include temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure — being essential nursing skills used to assess a patient’s health condition.
The workshop included a theoretical explanation of the importance and significance of each vital sign, followed by a practical session supervised by specialized faculty members from the Department of Medical and Surgical Nursing. During the session, students were trained on using modern medical devices and following safety and accuracy standards during measurement.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the college to enhance students’ competence and strengthen their practical skills in line with the requirements of professional nursing practice — and to promote good health, well-being, and quality education.
