In the digital age, communication has become faster and more accessible than ever before. However, this advancement has also given rise to a harmful phenomenon known as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying refers to the use of electronic devices—such as smartphones, computers, or social media platforms—to harass, threaten, or humiliate others. Unlike traditional bullying, which is often limited to physical spaces like schools, cyberbullying can happen anytime and anywhere, reaching victims even in the safety of their homes.

The effects of cyberbullying can be devastating. Victims often experience anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and in severe cases, may even have suicidal thoughts. What makes it more dangerous is the anonymity that the internet provides, allowing bullies to hide behind fake identities without facing immediate consequences.
Preventing cyberbullying requires collective effort. Parents should educate their children about responsible internet use, schools must implement strict digital behavior policies, and social media companies need to monitor and report abusive content. Moreover, raising awareness about empathy and digital respect can help create a safer online environment for everyone.
In conclusion, while technology has connected the world in powerful ways, it has also created new challenges. Combating cyberbullying is not just a moral duty—it is essential for protecting mental health and building a respectful digital society.
