In a move to enhance academic cooperation and openness to distinguished university experiences in the Arab world, Al Mustaqbal University signed a scientific and academic cooperation agreement with Ibn Tofail University of Morocco. The signing took place on the sidelines of the two universities' participation in the Global Sustainable Development Conference (GSDC 2025), organized by Times Higher Education in Istanbul, Turkey.

This agreement aims to build a strong partnership between the two universities, including the exchange of academic and research expertise and the development of joint programs in vital fields such as sustainability, renewable energy, and digital transformation. The agreement also seeks to support student and academic exchanges, participate in cross-border research and development projects, promote joint scientific publishing, and organize international conferences and seminars.

Al Mustaqbal University was represented at the signing by an official delegation headed by Professor Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies. The meeting took place in a fruitful academic atmosphere, reflecting the deep cultural and scientific relations between Iraq and Morocco and affirming the shared desire to build a true partnership that supports sustainable development goals and enhances the quality of higher education in the Arab world.

Representatives of the two universities emphasized that this agreement represents the beginning of a long-term strategic cooperation, opening up broad horizons for students, researchers, and academic institutions in both countries.
