A Faculty Council meeting was held on Saturday morning, July 19, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the Faculty and attended by the heads of academic departments. The meeting followed up on the implementation of preparatory requirements for the 2025-2026 academic year and discussed several priority issues, most notably the organization of second-term exams and ensuring that academic and administrative plans are aligned with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University Presidency.
During the meeting, the Dean emphasized the need for all faculty members to implement the provisions of the recently issued University Order, which relates to the implementation of the academic and educational plan for the coming year. These include the following:
• Scientific Publication Plan: Requiring all faculty members to submit proposals for original scientific research titles that are consistent with their specializations and contribute to raising the quality of scientific research at the college and university levels.
• Academic Activities and Scientific Workshops: Departments are invited to prepare training programs and activities (workshops, seminars, and discussion sessions) directly related to the fields of knowledge in each specialization, contributing to the development of the research and practical skills of students and faculty.
• Sustainability and Case Studies: Submit proposals for applied case studies focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 1 (Eradicate Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), within the framework of integration between education, research, and community service.
The College Council emphasizes the importance of completing these requirements within the specified timeframes to ensure achievement of institutional performance indicators and academic accreditation standards.
