On Monday, July 14, 2025, Al-mustaqbal University in Babylon Governorate received His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Dr. Halo Ibrahim Al-Askari, in an official visit aimed at enhancing academic and scientific cooperation in the fields of environment and sustainability.

During the visit, His Excellency the Minister inspected a number of the university's facilities, including the Renewable Energy Research Center, the Artificial Intelligence Center, and the natural reserve within the university campus, where he praised the qualitative efforts made by the university in supporting environmental issues and achieving sustainable development goals.
The visit witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Environment and Al-mustaqbal University, which aims to enhance partnership in the fields of scientific research, technical and regulatory support, as well as cooperation with the Babylon Environment Directorate.
Al-mustaqbal University is the first among private universities.
