In its pursuit of internationalization, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University received the President of Mansoura University from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
As part of academic openness and the strengthening of international partnerships, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, welcomed a high-level delegation from Mansoura University, headed by Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, accompanied by Professor Dr. Tarek Mostafa Ghalwash, the scientific assistant to the university president.
The reception was attended by several members of the university council, deans, and heads of academic and administrative departments. After a brief break, a joint meeting was held, beginning with a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. He expressed his delight at this academic visit, which reflects the deep historical and fraternal ties between Iraq and Egypt. He noted that the visit represents an important step toward activating the previously signed agreement between the two universities, which covers several areas of mutual interest in higher education and scientific research.
For his part, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Al-Mustaqbal University for their warm hospitality, affirming Mansoura University’s readiness to enhance cooperation and expand academic partnership frameworks between the two institutions.
The meeting agenda included the screening of an introductory documentary about Mansoura University, alongside a presentation highlighting the key milestones and scientific achievements of Al-Mustaqbal University. The two sides discussed several important topics, including:
• Mechanisms for activating the memoranda of understanding signed between the two universities.
• Proposals to host specialized postgraduate programs from Mansoura University.
• Professional training and capacity-building programs in partnership with the Continuing Education Center at Al-Mustaqbal University.
• Collaboration between counterpart research centers and the exchange of expertise in the fields of quality assurance and institutional and programmatic accreditation.
• Cooperation in global rankings, academic reputation, and participation in the editorial boards of scientific journals.
• Joint efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
At the conclusion of the meeting, a set of important decisions was made regarding the discussed topics, ensuring the achievement of common goals and opening new horizons for scientific cooperation between the two universities.
