Academic and Scientific Cooperation Agreement Signed between the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University and Thi-Qar Technical College
As part of its ongoing efforts to build strategic partnerships with higher education institutions in Iraq, the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University signed an academic and scientific cooperation agreement with Thi-Qar Technical College, affiliated with the Southern Technical University, on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
Representing Al-Mustaqbal University at the signing ceremony was Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsin Abd, Dean of the College, while Prof. Dr. Hussein Tawkan Abdullah, Dean of Thi-Qar Technical College, signed on behalf of his institution. The event was also attended by the Director of the Future Energy Research Center and the Director of Scientific Affairs at the university, both of whom emphasized the significance of this partnership in supporting joint research initiatives and promoting academic exchange.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration in various areas, including education, scientific research, academic exchange, joint participation in scientific events, and the development of study and research programs—contributing to enhanced institutional and academic performance for both parties.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsin Abd expressed his appreciation for the signing of this agreement, considering it a strategic step that aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of fostering purposeful national collaboration. He also noted that the agreement supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies presented Al-Mustaqbal University’s shield to Prof. Dr. Hussein Tawkan Abdullah, in recognition of his valued presence and contributions to the success of this important academic initiative.
This agreement represents a meaningful step in reinforcing institutional integration and highlights the importance of unified academic efforts to serve the community and build a solid national scientific foundation.
