Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the 11th International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings – IWGM 2025, held in Nice, France, with the attendance of more than 300 academic leaders and international experts from around the world.
The workshop focused on sharing global university experiences in the fields of sustainability, green environments, and environmental performance rankings, along with sustainable solutions and the significant role of UI GreenMetric in helping universities achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi chaired one of the main scientific sessions and delivered a comprehensive presentation on Al-Mustaqbal University’s experience in integrating sustainability into education, research, infrastructure, and community services, reflecting the university's commitment to global environmental and academic standards.
He was awarded an international participation certificate and held several meetings with representatives from universities in the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and France, paving the way for future partnerships and collaborative research in the field of sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants emphasized the importance of joint efforts among universities to develop environmentally friendly academic environments that address climate challenges and contribute to long-term sustainable development.
The workshop was hosted by Université Côte d’Azur in the city of Nice, France, one of the leading French universities in scientific research, sustainability, and international cooperation.
