Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, President of Almustaqbal University, took part in the 11th International Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings – IWGM 2025, organized by the UI GreenMetric organization. The event was hosted by Côte d’Azur University in the city of Nice, France.

The workshop gathered more than 300 academic leaders, experts, and university officials from around the world, focusing on sustainability practices, green environment strategies, and the role of the UI GreenMetric ranking system in driving sustainable development across higher education institutions.

During the event, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid chaired one of the main sessions and delivered a presentation highlighting Almustaqbal University’s contributions and initiatives in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its green campus policies and digital transformation.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the university president was awarded an official participation certificate, and held productive meetings with representatives from leading universities in the UK, Italy, Germany, and France, aiming to foster future academic and research collaborations in the field of sustainability and global rankings.
