Professor Dr. Muhannad Abbas Al-Shallah, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Babylon, received in his office Professor Dr. Wallaa Luay AlFalluji, Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Mustaqbal University, to sign the terms of a twinning and joint cooperation agreement between the two colleges.

Professor Dr. Al-Shallah explained that the agreement aims to open avenues of collaboration between the two parties in scientific, cultural, and service-related fields, in a manner that benefits the target groups of both colleges. The agreement includes several key aspects, such as the exchange of faculty members and researchers, sharing of scientific resources, as well as conducting joint research projects across various specialties with the participation of professors, researchers, technicians, and students. This is intended to foster the exchange of expertise and capacity building in line with available resources.

The agreement also stipulates the organization of conferences, seminars, educational workshops, and discussion panels, whether in-person or virtually, through hosting faculty members from various specializations to benefit from their academic and research experience.

For his part, Professor Dr. Wallaa Luay AlFalluji expressed Al-Mustaqbal College of Medicine’s readiness and enthusiasm to implement the terms of the agreement, especially since it is a newly established college. He affirmed the college’s commitment to developing scientific collaboration with the University of Babylon’s College of Medicine in order to elevate academic standards in the fields of scientific research, training, and professional development, ultimately contributing to community service.
