A scientific and official meeting was held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, by Prof. Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Dr. Tareq Jawad Kadhim, and Dr. Samir Ibrahim, with the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijazi, the Scientific Associate Dean Dr. Basim Kareem, and Prof. Dr. Saad Mohammed Ali, at the College of Dentistry – Al-Mustaqbal University. The meeting focused on discussing the establishment of the Research Unit at the College of Dentistry.

This meeting represents an important milestone in the college’s journey, as it aligns with its plans to strengthen its scientific and academic standing by establishing a specialized research unit dedicated to developing and supporting research projects in various fields of dentistry. The unit is expected to contribute to providing innovative solutions to health challenges and raising the quality of scientific research in line with the requirements of academic quality and accreditation.

The participants emphasized that the Research Unit will serve as a scientific incubator for postgraduate students and faculty researchers by providing an integrated research environment that keeps pace with global advancements in dental sciences. Furthermore, the unit will open opportunities for collaborative research with local and international universities and institutions, thereby enhancing the college’s leading role in serving both the scientific and medical communities.
