In line with the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, to support student creativity and foster research and innovation in medical fields, the College of Dentistry organized the First Health Innovation Hackathon on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, with the participation of a group of its distinguished students.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at the University; Dr. Sameer Badravi, Head of Cultural Relations; and Professor Dr. Tareq Jawad Kazem, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi.

During the event, students presented their initiatives, which included a number of promising programs and projects in their field of specialization. The judging panel, comprised of a select group of the college’s faculty members, praised the quality of the ideas presented and provided constructive feedback for their development.

In his remarks, Professor Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuheiri commended the efforts and innovations of the students, affirming the University’s support for them in continuing their scientific and creative journey. Dean Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi also expressed her gratitude to the attendees and supervising committees, praising the students who embodied the spirit of innovation in the field of dentistry.

This initiative comes as part of the College of Dentistry’s preparations for active participation in the upcoming Future Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp, scheduled for mid-October, further enhancing the University’s role as a platform for innovation and scientific creativity.
