Prof. Dr. Saad Hassan Mohammed Ali, a faculty member at the College of Dentistry, Al-Mustaqbal University and a member of the Iraqi Society for Infectious Diseases, participated in the scientific symposium organized by the Society on Friday, September 26, 2025, titled “Modernizing Approaches to HIV Patients Care.”

The event was held at Baghdad Hall, Al-Yarmouk Club in the capital, in cooperation with UNIMEDICA.
The symposium featured contributions from Prof. Dr. Muneam Al-Shouk, Consultant Dr. Fadel Hassan Alwan, and Prof. Dr. Yasser Mufeed.

The discussions highlighted the importance of addressing communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, focusing on methods of transmission, diagnosis, and treatment. The speakers also emphasized the necessity of regular testing for carriers of such diseases to ensure early detection or confirm full recovery.

Such symposia are at the core of the Society’s mission, as it is dedicated to infectious diseases and plays a vital role in supporting educational and health institutions. Despite being recently established, the Society demonstrated remarkable success and commitment to its responsibilities.

It is well known that achieving success in any endeavor is challenging, and sustaining and elevating that success is even more demanding. This requires collective effort and cooperation. Therefore, we call upon all members of the General Assembly to attend and participate in upcoming symposia so that together we can advance the Society’s work and contribute to building our beloved country.
