As part of its ongoing efforts to instill a culture of sustainability and enhance its role as an effective educational institution in achieving sustainable development goals, AL_Mustaqbal University welcomed the field follow-up committee for the "Sustainable University" competition, organized by the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Environment.

The visiting delegation was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Scientific Assistant, and Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at the university, along with a group of directors of scientific and administrative departments and centers.

At the beginning of the visit, Dr. Muzaffar Al-Zuhairi gave a comprehensive presentation reviewing the university's most prominent initiatives in the field of environmental sustainability and community development. He highlighted the university's successes locally and internationally, particularly its progress in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025.

The visit aimed to observe the environmental initiatives implemented as part of the competition's participation form, through an extensive tour that included a number of vital projects on campus, embodying the university's commitment to implementing environmental sustainability standards in practice.

The visiting committee included representatives from the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Environment, headed by the Director of the Entrepreneurial Project Management Department in the Research and Development Department at the Ministry of Higher Education. The committee members expressed their admiration for the qualitative initiatives and promising projects achieved on the ground, praising the level of planning, implementation, and positive engagement demonstrated by the university with the competition's objectives.
