As part of the ongoing series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University, an educational workshop was held under the title:
“Introduction to the Anesthesia Machine, Its Components, and Endotracheal Intubation.”
The workshop was presented by the department’s teaching assistants:
Lina Alaa Hussein, Estabraq Rasool Hussein, and Huda Mohammed Salman, with the participation of third-year students.
The workshop comprised two main components:
Theoretical Component:
Included a detailed explanation of the anesthesia machine, its components, and how it functions, in addition to the fundamental principles of endotracheal intubation and its clinical indications.
Practical Component:
Focused on hands-on training for students on operating the anesthesia machine and performing endotracheal intubation using educational manikins.
This activity aims to enhance students’ clinical skills and prepare them for real-world hospital practice, in alignment with modern medical education standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly:
- Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being
- Goal 4: Quality Education
