On its second day...the activities of the Sustainability Week Festival continue
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the esteemed Professor Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the esteemed Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and under the slogan (Climate Changes... and the Future of Generations), the activities of the Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week Festival continued on its second day according to the planned agenda. For him, as a group of events and activities were held today, Sunday 2/18/2024, in the Central Activities Hall (1), during which four scientific dialogue sessions were carried out, including some activities for students of one of the educational institutions, in addition to activities carried out by university employees.
The first dialogue session was entitled (The Role of Universities in Sustaining Cities), in which Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, Dean of the Center for Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Semaan Majeed Abbas (Head of the Department of Architecture at the University of Diyala), and Professor Dr. Raed Fawzi Muhammad, lectured. Secretary from the University of Karbala and engineer Haider Al-Kafishi (President of the Smart Green Cities Sustainability Organization).
While the title of the second session was (The Role of Universities in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals), Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Najah Kazem (Head of the Quality Assurance Department at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University) and Dr. Abdullah Musa Kazem (Director of the Quality Assurance Division at the College of Engineering in Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University) were present. -Qasim Green University) and Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Daoud Salman (Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at the Presidency of Al-Mustansiriya University) and the teaching assistant Faten Ali Al-Gharabi from the University of Babylon.
The title of the third session was (Climate Changes: Causes, Effects and Solutions), in which Dr. Nasr Shamil Salman (Director of the National Center for Studies at the University of Baghdad), Professor Dr. Majid Al-Khatib from Al-Salam University College, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Saud Abdel-Dhaher from Al-Mustaqbal University lectured.
While the title of the fourth session was (Applications of Sustainable Development Goals in Vital Fields), Professor Dr. Ghaleb Idris Attia from the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Iyad Assi Obaid from the University of Diyala, Mr. Nabil Muhammad Saleh from the University of Diyala, and Mrs. Maha Abbas Hateht from the University of Diyala lectured in it.
The sessions included multiple community activities, as the International Flowers Foundation participated in activities on bullying, social media pages and their effects on children, and sand drawing skills, while a group of Al-Mustaqbal University members presented an event aimed at introducing the types of pollution, their causes, and methods of treating them. A number of personalities attended today’s activities, including Professor Thaer Wahid Al-Jubouri, head of the Teachers Syndicate in Babylon, scientific assistant to the President of the University of Babylon, and a group of professors from Iraqi public and private universities. The events witnessed the presence of a number of satellite channels.
