Under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and with the participation of the university’s vice presidents, deans, and staff members, Al-Mustaqbal University held its central celebration of the Iraqi National Week, which included a ceremony honoring the Ambassadors of Sustainability in recognition of their efforts to support sustainable development projects within the university.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Mehdi Ebady Manaa, Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science, was honored with the Best Innovation Award in Sustainability, in recognition of his distinguished innovation that embodies the integration between smart medical technologies and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
In his speech, the University President commended Dr. Mehdi Ebady Manaa’s achievement, emphasizing that this honor reflects the spirit of creativity and excellence characterizing the academic staff at Al-Mustaqbal University, and demonstrates the institution’s firm commitment to advancing scientific research and innovation in service of both society and the environment.
Prof. Dr. Mehdi Ebady Manaa expressed his sincere appreciation to the University Presidency and the Dean of the College of Science for their continuous support of innovative academic initiatives. He affirmed that the Department of Smart Medical Systems will continue to adopt pioneering projects that contribute to realizing Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of leadership in technology and sustainability.
