biology Department at the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University is committed to engaging in and contributing to scientific and community activities. The department's staff attended the preparatory seminar for the Al-Mustaqbal Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp, which was held With the patronage and attendance of the Governor of Babylon, Mr. Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, and under the direct supervision of the University Presidency.

The department's attendance was represented by the Head of the biology Department, Professor Dr. Ali Shaalan Muailif; the department's rapporteur, Asst. M. Jaafar Hamid Jaafar; and the teaching staff, Prof. Dr. Dhurgham Ali Abbas and Asst. M. Zainab Nazim Aziz. This was in line with the university's overall approach to supporting sustainable development goals and promoting a culture of environmental and health sustainability, which are key areas of focus for the biology major.

The session included a presentation of the objectives of the Al-Mustaqbal Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp and its most prominent scientific and organizational themes. It also focused on the importance of the role of youth and students in promoting sustainability concepts. It also introduced the Artificial Intelligence Hackathon Competition, which aims to employ technology to serve environmental and sustainable development issues.

This participation is part of a series of activities implemented by the Department of biology, in line with the university's vision of linking scientific disciplines with the reality of society and consolidating the concept of education based on social responsibility and innovation.
