The Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries held a scientific trip to Al-Furat General Company for Chemical Industries in Al-Hindiya Dam in Babil Governorate for the fourth stage, under the supervision of:
Dr. Malek Mustafa Mohamed and Dr. Khaled Omran Ali
Where the students were warmly received by the assistant general manager of the company and the director of the production sector in the company under the direct guidance of the general manager of the company Ali Qassem Al-Shammari. The students were taken to the laboratories and production units in the company and explained to them the methods of producing materials. Production units and identification of the type of materials produced within the company and the processes that are carried out on raw materials to produce chemicals with wide and important uses.
It is noteworthy that the company produces very important chemicals such as sulfuric acid in both concentrated and diluted forms, chlorine acid, liquid chlorine, sodium hypochloride and other important materials in the chemical industries, which are used in some oil, electrical, agricultural, health and other sites.
The students were also taken to the company's chemical testing laboratories, as well as to the electronic production control room in the laboratory, and explained to them the working method.
The students expressed their happiness at visiting the company because of the information they found in the core of their specialization and seeing the application of scientific information in the school curricula in the work sites in the company.
