Participation of Dr. Thabat Rees Akash in the Clinical Examinations at the University of Babylon

Today, Dr. Thabat Rees Akash, Pediatric Specialist and faculty member at Al-Mustaqbal University – College of Health and Medical Technologies, Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques, participated in the final course clinical examinations for sixth-stage students at the College of Medicine, University of Babylon. This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen academic cooperation among Iraqi universities and transfer practical and educational expertise to students.

Dr. Akash’s participation came as part of his continuous commitment to advancing medical and clinical education, enabling students to acquire the essential practical skills required to face future medical challenges. During the examinations, he closely monitored the students’ performance in applying theoretical knowledge to practice, while providing guidance and practical instructions to enhance their diagnostic and therapeutic skills, in addition to assessing their grasp of both basic and advanced clinical competencies.

His involvement also included offering immediate feedback to students on managing diverse clinical cases, developing their ability to make sound medical decisions in real-life situations, and emphasizing the critical role of clinical laboratory procedures in early disease diagnosis. By linking theory with practice, Dr. Akash helped reinforce the importance of each step in the diagnostic process.

Dr. Akash affirmed that such participation represents a valuable opportunity to exchange academic and practical expertise with colleagues and students, to enhance the standard of medical and clinical education in Iraqi universities, and to encourage students to uphold professional and ethical standards in medical practice. He stressed that these efforts contribute to preparing a generation of qualified doctors and health professionals capable of providing high-quality healthcare services and improving the overall standard of medical care in the country.
