In line with the future directions of the University of the AL_Mustaqbal , led by Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, which aim to transform into a "smart university," in line with national digital transformation strategies and the vision of the Iraqi government, and under the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in continuation of the recommendations of the recent UNESCO Conference on Digital Education held last September, an expanded meeting was held this morning with the team tasked with monitoring the Smart University project.

The meeting discussed the project's academic and administrative plans and structure, including departments related to student affairs, education, health, environment, services, personnel management, and energy. The goal is to establish an integrated organizational and operational framework that contributes to ensuring efficient implementation and achieving the desired goals.

A smart university is defined as an educational institution that strategically relies on the integration of digital technologies into all aspects of its operations to enhance the quality of education, research, and administration, provide advanced educational services that keep pace with national and international aspirations, and establish a renewed knowledge environment that responds to future requirements.

This effort comes as part of the University of the Future's vision to build a flexible, innovative, and effective academic institution capable of keeping pace with technological developments and meeting the needs of society in various fields.
