The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the third edition of the Higher Education Reading Award, starting on Sunday, August 10, 2025, according to the schedule approved by the ministerial committee organizing the award.
The registration period will continue until September 28, 2025, while the exam is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at exactly 11:00 a.m., and the award ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
🔹 Eligible Categories:
• Undergraduate students (bachelor’s degree) in Iraqi public and private universities.
• Postgraduate students enrolled for the academic year 2024–2025.
🔹 Registration and Examination Mechanism:
Registration is done electronically through the official award platform (awards.mohesr.gov.iq) using the university email, with an active phone number for communication. The exam will be conducted online from any device connected to the internet and will include 100 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 60 minutes.
🔹 Financial Prizes:
• First place: 10 million IQD.
• Second place: 8 million IQD.
• Third place: 5.5 million IQD.
• From fourth to twentieth place: 4.5 million IQD for each winner.
The Ministry calls on all universities to encourage broad student participation, stressing that this initiative aims to promote a culture of reading among students and enhance academic knowledge.
