The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the launch of the third edition of the Higher Education Reading Award, starting on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in accordance with the schedule set by the ministerial committee organizing the award.
The registration period will continue until September 28, 2025, while the exam is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
🔹 Eligible Categories:
Undergraduate students (Bachelor’s level) in Iraqi public and private universities.
Postgraduate students enrolled for the academic year 2024–2025.
🔹 Registration and Exam Mechanism:
Registration is done electronically via the official award platform (awards.mohesr.gov.iq) using the university email, with phone number activation for communication. The exam will also be conducted electronically from any internet-connected device and will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions to be answered within 60 minutes.
🔹 Monetary Awards:
First place: 10 million IQD
Second place: 8 million IQD
Third place: 5.5 million IQD
From 4th to 20th place: 4.5 million IQD for each winner
The Ministry calls on all universities to encourage broad participation of their students, affirming that this initiative aims to instill a culture of reading among students and enhance academic knowledge.
