President of Al-Mustaqbal University Supervises Ph.D. Dissertation Defense at the College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University
Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the defense of a Ph.D. dissertation he supervised in the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering – Al-Nahrain University. The defense took place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Dijlah Hall at the College.
The dissertation, entitled “Corrosion Analysis and Control in Oilfield”, addressed a vital topic related to the challenges of the oil sector and strategies to overcome them.
The examination committee consisted of Professors Dr. Jamal Mani’, Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Razzaq, Dr. Yasser Imad, in addition to Assistant Professors Shaimaa Abdul-Rahman and Yusr Fadhil. The dissertation was supervised jointly by Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi and Professor Dr. Basim Ubaid.
Following a thorough scientific discussion, the committee decided to award the student, Mustafa Jaafar, the Ph.D. degree with distinction.
This defense reflects the ongoing fruitful academic cooperation between Al-Mustaqbal University and Al-Nahrain University, reaffirming the leading role of Al-Mustaqbal University in academic supervision and high-level scientific research.
