"Art and beauty are closely linked, and the aesthetics of the artwork is the realization of its self and identity, and reaching it does not come arbitrarily, but rather through the realization of the concepts that constitute it, which crystallize through the many theories that have addressed the study of beauty, as beauty has taken a wide and large space in theories and intellectual and philosophical studies until it has several definitions and meanings from philosophers according to the aspects associated with it, some of them linked beauty to sensory perception and another to rational perception and another focused on truth and goodness, and another focused on measuring it with absolute beauty (the example), and another linked its concept to interest in human meanings .... etc."
Herbert Read says: (There is something common between all works of art, which is the form, the external appearance of things or their form, and where the basis of comparison between one form and another is to provide certain conditions so that most of the senses enjoy it, as this pleasure is given to the mind, which is the centre in which all our senses gather)
The aesthetic functions of the form in the artist: -
Jerome specifies that the form has three aesthetic functions, which are:
1. The form controls the perception of the recipient and guides him and directs his attention in a specific direction that the artist producing the artwork wants the recipient to be directed in this direction.
2. The form as a whole arranges the elements of the artwork in a way that highlights its sensory and expressive value
3. The form is important such that the content has no value without it, as it is what indicates it
With the artist's feelings and his own vision, the more the artist's artistic awareness and sensitivity to the topics of life and the forms that excite him in nature increases, the more capable he becomes of producing art that is close to the public's mentality and thus more influential to them, and what the artist sees of topics of importance to his artistic world and observing different civilizations through the works of others and the extent of the artistic development that has occurred and what are the materials and tools that artists have drawn from throughout history, all of these elements help the artist to launch his correct vision to achieve an aesthetic artistic discourse that achieves aesthetic pleasure for the recipient.
