Al-Mustaqbal University has officially begun preparations for the launch of the “Future Ambassadors for Sustainability” camp, a pioneering event and the first of its kind among Iraqi universities. The event is being organized under the generous patronage of the Governor of Babylon and will be held at Babylon Tourist Resort on October 4–5, 2025. It will witness wide participation from students, academics, and individuals interested in sustainable development issues.
This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s leading role in embracing innovative programs that promote the concept of sustainability and integrate it with academic and community contexts. The Faculty of Fine Arts, with both of its departments, will also participate in the camp, in recognition of the important role of art in conveying meaningful and impactful messages related to sustainable development.
The camp aims to raise university students’ awareness of the importance of sustainability and to build their capacities to become effective leaders in society through innovative initiatives and projects. This aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), by empowering students with knowledge and skills, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by fostering collaboration between universities, government bodies, and community institutions.
