The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, has sent a letter of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, in recognition of his outstanding efforts that led to a remarkable achievement: the university securing first place among all Iraqi public and private universities in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for sustainable development. Furthermore, the university was ranked within the 201–300 global category out of more than 2,300 universities representing 130 countries worldwide.
Additionally, Al-Mustaqbal University accomplished an unprecedented milestone by achieving first place globally in the Clean Energy category.
In this context, the Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the university’s faculty and staff, praising their significant contributions and wishing them continued success in serving Iraq.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi congratulated the faculty and staff of Al-Mustaqbal University on this outstanding success, valuing the Minister’s initiative. He emphasized that this recognition serves as a powerful motivation to continue achieving milestones and to strengthen the university’s position locally and internationally, thereby enhancing the global reputation of Iraqi higher education.
