Almustaqbal University made a distinguished participation in the ITEX Iraq Exhibition and Conferences for Technology and Innovation, held in Baghdad on Thursday, September 25, and lasting four days. The event witnessed the presence of national and international universities and companies specialized in telecommunications and modern technologies.
The university’s delegation was led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mosadaq Maher Abdulzahra, Director of the AI Incubator, with active contributions from students of the Computer Engineering Technologies Department, and in collaboration with Amwaj IT Company, which supported the activities inside the university’s pavilion—reflecting a successful model of partnership between academia and the private sector.
The university showcased innovative projects in artificial intelligence, digital education, energy, and smart communications, including: the Smart Assistant, Interactive Learning Platform, Medical Data Analysis Systems, and Smart Energy Solutions. These projects attracted wide interest from visitors and specialized institutions.
The university’s delegation also took part in conferences discussing the future of telecommunications, digital infrastructure, government digital transformation, digitization of fuel and electricity billing, and automation of health services. Scientific contributions highlighted the AI Incubator’s role in developing digital applications and supporting national digitalization projects.
The university’s pavilion received high praise from visitors and organizers, being recognized as one of the most outstanding for combining academic vision with practical implementation. The Director of the Incubator emphasized that this participation marks a significant step in supporting students’ projects and encouraging them to engage in innovation and technological entrepreneurship in line with Iraq’s digital transformation and sustainable development goals.
This achievement aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by fostering an environment of innovation and linking higher education outputs with societal needs.
