As part of the preparations for hosting the Future Ambassadors for Sustainability Camp, the College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an academic workshop entitled “The Fluctuations of the Dollar Exchange Rate and Their Impact on the Level of Poverty in Iraq”, delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamed Abbas Mohammed.
The workshop addressed the direct relationship between exchange rate volatility and economic policies on the one hand, and the living standards of Iraqi households on the other. It highlighted how these fluctuations affect poverty levels and purchasing power, while also presenting a set of proposed solutions and measures to mitigate their negative impacts.
This event reflects the College’s commitment to raising students’ awareness of macroeconomic issues and enhancing their understanding of the developmental challenges facing Iraqi society. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals and the University’s vision of empowering youth to play an active role in creating innovative solutions to their nation’s pressing issues.
