Stanford University, in collaboration with the global publishing house Elsevier, has announced the latest update of its annual study that identifies the world’s most prominent scientists, based on citation data indexed in the international Scopus database.

This year’s list included 277 researchers from Iraq, with Al-Mustaqbal University making a remarkable presence as several of its distinguished faculty members were ranked among the top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists. They are:

Prof. Hassan Shaker Majdi – President of Al-Mustaqbal University

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd – Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies

Prof. Tariq Jawad Kazem – Director of the Scientific Affairs Department

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi – Associate Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tayseer Sameer Jaaz – Faculty member, College of Engineering

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Maytham Ubaid – Head of the Scientific Affairs Unit, College of Engineering
