As part of its commitment to social responsibility and its ongoing support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a humanitarian initiative to distribute Ramadan food baskets to a number of underprivileged families, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative was held under the generous patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini.
This initiative witnessed active participation from the college’s staff and students within the "Sustainability Ambassadors" team. The Ramadan baskets contained essential food items aimed at supporting families in need throughout the holy month.
This activity falls within the college’s contribution to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals, most notably:
Goal 1: No Poverty
Goal 2: Zero Hunger
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
In a statement, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini emphasized that this initiative aligns with the college’s vision of promoting the values of social solidarity and compassion, while also encouraging students to engage in charitable and community-based activities. He noted that such efforts contribute to social justice and help improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
The benefiting families expressed their deep gratitude to the College of Law for this generous initiative, praising its efforts in supporting the local community and fostering a culture of humanitarian aid.
