A faculty member from the College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sarraf, participated in the First National Scientific Conference titled:
"Criminal Justice and the Rule of Law in Correctional Institutions in Iraq: Prospects, Challenges, and Aspirations,"
which was held under the auspices of the Honorable Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with Koya University in Erbil Governorate – Kurdistan Region, during the period of May 21–22, 2025.

Dr. Al-Sarraf contributed to the conference by presenting a legal research paper entitled:
"Education of Inmates and Detainees: A Natural Human Right – Goal 4 and Goal 16 of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Iraqi Law of Inmates and Detainees No. (14) of 2018 as a Model."

The research was met with appreciation and recognition from the participants for its rigorous academic approach and developmental legal vision, aligning with Iraq’s commitments to human rights and institutional reform.
