Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized an awareness seminar entitled “The Role of Women in Legislative Elections” on Monday, 22/9/2025, at the college hall.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Qasim Muhammad Hantoush, a faculty member at the College of Law, who addressed several topics related to the importance of women’s political participation and their active role in the democratic process, particularly in legislative elections, emphasizing that empowering women in this field strengthens the values of justice and equality and reinforces the principle of community participation.

This seminar comes as part of the College of Law’s efforts to support national initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality), by raising awareness and highlighting the role of women as essential partners in decision-making processes.
