Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized an awareness workshop entitled: “Women’s Rights between Sharia and Law”, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the College Hall – Humanities Building, in cooperation with the Women’s Rights Division.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Saad Ubaid Hussein, who addressed several topics related to the status of women and their rights in light of Islamic Sharia and civil law, highlighting the convergence between the two in protecting women and ensuring their rights. He emphasized that raising awareness of these issues contributes to building a just society that achieves fairness and equality.

This workshop comes as part of the College of Law’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality), through raising awareness and promoting a culture of rights and responsibilities to ensure a better future.
