Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized a panel discussion entitled “Encouraging Iraqi Investors in Small Investment Projects” on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the college hall – Humanities Building.

The discussion was delivered by Dr. Qasim Mohammed Hantoush, who addressed the importance of supporting and encouraging Iraqi investors in small projects as a fundamental pillar for revitalizing the national economy, creating job opportunities, and stimulating the private sector. He also highlighted the role of such projects in promoting local development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Moreover, he discussed ways to overcome the obstacles facing investors and the need to create a favorable legal and economic environment for investment.

This panel discussion comes as part of the College of Law’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by promoting a culture of responsible investment and encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives within Iraqi society.

The session was moderated by Dr. Abdulrahman Abbas Adayeen.
