Al‑Mustaqbal University Organizes a Course on Sustainable Development as Part of Its Training Program

Faculty member Riya Naseef Jasem from the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts and Humanities, Al‑Mustaqbal University, organized a specialized training course on sustainable development on Saturday, March 15, as part of a series of courses initiated by the university to enhance awareness of sustainability concepts and to achieve its goals. This course is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).

The course aimed to highlight the importance of sustainable development in various fields, its role in preserving natural resources, and achieving a balance between economic, social, and environmental progress. It covered several topics, including sustainable development strategies, its impact on communities, and the role of academic institutions in promoting sustainability through scientific research and practical application.

The course witnessed significant engagement from the participants, who raised numerous questions and contributed discussions on how to implement sustainable development concepts in real-world settings. Faculty member Riya Naseef Jasem stressed the importance of such courses in spreading awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals and in fostering a culture of environmental and social responsibility among students and academic staff.
