In an atmosphere filled with compassion and human solidarity, and as part of its purposeful educational and social programs, the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a special humanitarian visit to the “State Al-Zuhur Orphanage” in the province of Babylon. The visit was held in commemoration of Ashura—the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and his noble family—who represent an eternal symbol of sacrifice, justice, and standing with the oppressed.
This initiative came as a reflection of the noble values of Imam Hussein’s legacy, which calls for mercy, selflessness, and community unity. A group of faculty members and students from the college participated in the visit, offering symbolic gifts and meals to the children and residents of the orphanage, in a spirit filled with compassion and humanitarian support.
The visit included various activities such as awareness and educational programs, meaningful chants, and speeches emphasizing the importance of commemorating Ashura as an educational and spiritual value that enhances students’ sense of social responsibility and human belonging. The delegation also listened to the needs of the orphanage’s management and staff, reaffirming the university’s ongoing support for these groups as part of its commitment to community partnership.
The college administration affirmed that this visit aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of playing an active role in serving the community by promoting a culture of giving and volunteerism, and by extending the impact of higher education to include humanitarian and social aspects—especially during religious and national occasions.

This visit is part of a series of initiatives organized annually by the college, in commitment to its social responsibility and its efforts to foster compassion and unity within the fabric of society.
