Driven by its humanitarian mission and social responsibility, Mustaqbal University mobilized all its human and technical resources to serve the pilgrims of Imam Hussain’s Arbaeen, through a large-scale field campaign carried out by the Directorate Affairs Department along Street 60 in the city center of Hilla, utilizing its own equipment and machinery.

The campaign included cleaning the pilgrims’ pathways and surrounding streets, removing waste and debris to ensure a clean and healthy environment, in addition to distributing water to the Hussainiya processions stationed along the route, in support of their efforts to serve the visitors.

This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being – by providing a safe environment and supportive services for pilgrims.

Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – through the distribution of water and ensuring a clean environment.

Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities – by contributing to the cleanliness of roads and public spaces.

Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals – through collaboration with processions and service entities.

Through this effort, Mustaqbal University reaffirms its pioneering role in community service and in promoting a culture of volunteerism, thereby contributing to the facilitation of pilgrims’ movement and ensuring their comfort while performing the rituals of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
