With the esteemed presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi,
and with the direct support of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Haleem Al-Qeim,
the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi,
and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Khafaji,

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ameer Muzhir Hadi, Head of the Scientific Affairs Division, represented our college on September 10, 2025, at the First Scientific Conference of Editorial Boards of Iraqi Journals, hosted by the University of Technology.

The conference was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the esteemed Deputy Ministers, numerous university presidents, college deans, editors-in-chief, and members of the editorial boards of Iraqi journals.

The sessions addressed the most important requirements for preparing and developing journals to achieve scientific accreditation and inclusion in prestigious international indexing databases such as Scopus and Clarivate. Furthermore, the conference emphasized the importance of avoiding practices that could lead to exclusion from global rankings.

His Excellency the Minister encouraged increasing the rate of publication and citation of Iraqi journals and research, while significant recommendations were documented to enhance journal reputation and promote high-quality scholarly publishing.

This effort comes in line with the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to support sustainable education.
