The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized an in-person workshop entitled:
“Occupational Hazards in Anesthesia ”, delivered by Mr. Abbas Sabri for second-year students.

The workshop addressed the main challenges and risks anesthesiologists may face during their work in operating rooms, such as exposure to chemicals and inhaled gases, in addition to the psychological and professional pressures associated with the nature of the job.

The lecturer emphasized the importance of following occupational safety measures and applying preventive procedures within healthcare institutions to reduce these risks, thereby protecting medical staff and ensuring the continuity of high-quality healthcare services.

This workshop is part of the series of scientific and training activities organized by the department to raise students’ awareness and promote a culture of occupational safety, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
